SkinPen Microneedling
Microneedling is a collagen-stimulating procedure for the treatment of fine lines, acne scars, large pores and improvement of the skin’s overall appearance. The instrument used creates controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin. SkinPen by Bellus Medical was the first Microneedling device in the world to be cleared by the FDA. SkinPen uses adjustable length, disposable straight needles to penetrate at a 90-degree angle. This adjustability allows for differences in skin thickness and skin types.
Microneedling with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is the same collagen induction therapy but with the added benefit of using your own blood’s growth factors to stimulate new cell and collagen growth. Adding your PRP with microneedling gives the most optimal results for smooth, tight and glowing skin.
